Summertime's Callin' Me

We are ready for summertime!

We can't wait to take Leighton to the pool, river, and beach this summer! We received our towel in the mail from Alice last week (visit her at Needleworks) and couldn't resist trying on our bathing suits and taking some pics!

This past weekend we visited Ocracoke with John's family. His Aunt Trudy and Uncle Wayne own The Edwards of Ocracoke and two beach houses, the Lucky Duck and the Baby Duck. We were "lucky" enough to stay at the Lucky Duck! Leighton did a great job on her first trip to the Outer Banks. She napped and slept at night just like she does at home. We were so excited!!!

Ohhhhhhh- and to update you on her introduction to solids- she LOVES to eat!!! We are on sweet potatoes and rice cereal right now, and will be having bananas this week.
