Lainey at 8 Months

Another month, gone by... our little Lainey is growing up way too fast.  I am going to be planning a 1st birthday party soon!  At 8 months you just keep getting more and more fun!

You love your paci- your sister wasn't a paci girl, but you surely are!  So cute!

Lainey, at 8 months...

~ you are CRAWLING!!!  Ahhh!  Yay!  Scary and exciting all rolled into one ;)!  This started yesterday (on your actual 8 month bday)!  You have been on the verge for weeks though, and the night before that, you did 1 little crawl with your Daddy and Mamoo!  Yesterday was official though, you went several crawls to get to your toys!

~ you still eat around 24oz. each day

~ you eat 3 meals a day- breakfast, lunch and dinner!  We usually have a fruit for breakfast, a fruit and/or veggie for lunch, and a veggie at dinnertime.  Your favorites are sweet potatoes, squash, and bananas, strawberries, pears and blueberries.  You think apples are a little tart, but you will still eat them.

~ you love Puffs!

~ you sleep from about 6:45/7pm until about 6 or 6:30am.  Sometimes you wake up around 5:15am and throw a little party in your crib for a few minutes!  I roll over and go back to sleep ;)!  On the mornings you do this, you will sleep until 7am.

~ you are taking 2 naps.  You can stay awake for about 3 hours at a time, so your naps vary a bit depending on when you rise for the day.  I don't like to wake you up to stay on a certain schedule so I don't mess up your sleep cycle :).  Some days you go down at 9am, some days it's more like 9:45am, and your afternoon naps vary a bit too depending on how long your morning nap lasts.  Usually you go down around 1:30 or 2, but occasionally it is a bit later.

~ We have had a couple of play dates with your little friend Hamilton while Leighton is at school!  You love her!

~ you still only have the 1 little tooth!  I can see the silhouette of the tooth beside it though!

~ your sister is still your favorite!  You are beginning to "swipe" her toys, so sometimes we call you, "Swiper" (like on Dora hehe)

~ you are in Size 3 diapers- hello Cruisers, just in time!

~ you are still in mostly 6-9 month clothes

~ you enjoy playing on the carpet on a blanket, tea parties with your sister, meal time, books (mostly biting books), your jumperoo, Mickey Mouse and your paci!

Sweet Lainey we just can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the coming months.  We love you so very much and cannot imagine life without you in it :).  I can already tell that you and Leighton are going to be best friends.  Last night when we were saying her prayers, she said, "t-ank you for Belay" (a nickname given by your sister which we still call you).  Happy 8 months precious baby girl!
