14 months, Wooo Hoooo Pack!, and Great News!!!

Our girl is 14 months old {as of Sunday, I'm a few days behind!}. She is as much fun as ever!!!

At 14 months she is...

- into everything :)

- cutting 2 molars {both on top} and 2 more lower front teeth- poor baby!

- loving milk!

- climbing...oh dear!

- loving her lollie {blanket} and lovies

- sleeping 7pm-7am

- napping once per day from 1-3pm

- taking Kindermusik on Tuesday mornings

- loving books!

- saying "na-na" {night night}; "dadadadada"; "mama"; "kkkkkkktttttttttiiiiiiiiii" {kitty}

- shaking her head "no"

- waving "bye-bye"

- throwing the occasional temper tantrum when she doesn't get what she wants- and she sure knows what it is that she wants :)

- eating 3 meals a day- still not into "gooey" textures {this makes veggies & fruit a challenge so pouches are lifesavers!}

- loving breads, cheeses, peanut butter, pouches of fruit/veggies, yogurt, applesauce, graham crackers, and chicken

- loves Max & Ruby

On Saturday, John and I went to the State game. We played Clemson, and were going to have fun, but not necessarily planning on a win {Clemson is a top ranked team this year}. Well all I can say is WHAT A GAME!!!!! We absolutely did not hear C-L-E-M-S-O-N even once during the entire game!!!!! So exciting! John's cousins Bonnie & Seth joined us and they had a ball!

To end on a high note, we received some wonderful news yesterday!!! We had a check-up on Leighton's little kidney at Duke. The doctors performed a renal scan. John and I had been very quiet about this test, mainly because it was so difficult for us to think about the pain the test was going to cause Leighton. I think we both just prayed about it quietly so as not to have to think about what they day of the test would hold. Leighton did a great job! It was really tough because they had to put an IV in her foot and also a catheter in her bladder and she had to lay on the table for an hour wrapped in a little cocoon while they injected fluids into her kidneys. There were tears from us; and then she was able to sleep while the machine read the progress. But the end results were so worth the struggle! Leighton's urologist told us that her kidney continues to improve!!!! We do not have to see him again for 6 months this time {it has been every 3 months}. During our next visit there will just be the regular ultrasound which is pain free! We are so thankful to God for blessing us with Leighton and for carrying us through yesterday!
