Happy New Year!!!
What a year 2010 has been! We kicked off 2010 in Charlotte at our friend's Jennifer and Brian's house. Ryan and Seantel joined us, along with Alice, Ben and Walker Yow. We had a great time! Ryan and Seantel introduced a game to us: everybody reaches into a bag and pulls out a "fortune" for the upcoming year. It turns out that Ryan and Seantel are quite the fortune tellers.... John pulled out a baby with a note attached saying we would expect a new addition, and I pulled out a paintbrush with a note attached saying we would renovate a home in 2010. Well, we found out 6 days later that I was pregnant and we purchased our fixer-upper in March!
In March we signed the paperwork for our new home. A home that we plan to raise our family in, and grow old together in :).
In April we found out some wonderful news~ we were expecting a little GIRL!!! We decided that week to name her Leighton Dare.
In May our home renovations were well under way. Here is a before and after look at our dining room.
In June, we moved into our home in Bethel.
In July we celebrated the birth of our nation, as well as John's 30th birthday at the River!
In August we put the finishing touches on our sweet baby's nursery.
On September 19th, 2010 we left for Pitt County Memorial Hospital for an induction on September 20th. Leighton Dare Roberson was born on September 20, 2010 at 7:21pm by c-section, weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce 20 inches long.
